About E-Components Recycling

Electronic waste is a trash produced from surplus, fractured and obsolete electronic devices, commonly known as e-scrap and e-waste. The process of recovery of material from ancient devices to be used in new products is e-waste or electronic recycling.

Recycling of electronics can be a challenge because the disposed-of electronics are sophisticated devices made of different proportions of glass, metals and plastics.

Process of E-Components Recycling

The recycling process may vary depending on the materials and the technologies.

Collection and transport: Collection and transport are first two phases of recycling involving e-waste. In certain locations, recycler bins or electronics collection booths are installed where the e-wastes are collected and then transported to recycling installations.

Shredding, sorting and separation: Materials in the e-waste stream must be processed and separated into clean commodities for the production of new products following collection and transportation to recycling facilities. The basis of electronic recycling is an efficient separation of materials. Electric waste stream shredding facilitates the sorting of plastics and the separation of them from the circuits and metals. E-waste items are therefore shredded into 100 mm pieces for additional sorting.

The iron and steel are separated by a strong overhead magnet from the conveyor waste stream. The separated stainless steel material is sent for sale as recycled steel. The mechanical processing of the material stream separates aluminium, copper and circuit boards. A technology for separating glass from plastic is then used to separate it. The quality of extracted materials is improved by visual inspection and hand sorting. The separate streams of aluminium, copper and circuit boards are collected and are ready for re-use.

The process uses advanced separation technology. In the final step of this process, the metal remains are extracted from the plastics to further clean the stream.

Sales preparation as recycled materials: The separate material will be prepared for sale as raw materials for the production of new electronics or other products after the shredding, sorting and removals have been carried out.

Benefits of E-Components Recycling

There are many benefits of E –components recycling. Firstly it adds value to the waste materials. That is, the waste material can be re-used with an enhanced value. Secondly, it helps to keep the environment clean and safe. The E-components are otherwise materials which cannot be easily disposed. Hence, the E-components recycling is a great way to keep the environment clean.
